The last few days trying to tip/rec/comment/message on Daily Kos have been super frustrating and I am not alone. I get error messages when I have tried to do those things, and then it gets fixed and then it breaks; it gets fixed and then it breaks, and last night the last straw was when I couldn’t message. What the hell is going on?
I took my problem to the HELP DESK and learned that I was far from alone, if you read the thread “Suddenly Can’t Rec or Comment” there are 33 comments. There is also another thread at the Help Desk: “Single comment pages turning up blank about 1/3 of the time. Reload generally works, but wtf?”….. Folks, we are having some major functionality problems.

Furthermore, after I posted my problem on the Help Desk, I got an email, copying the whole thread to me. My great concern is that my email address was revealed to those others on the thread. I am sure that they would not want me to have their personal information and I do not want my personal information revealed to anyone without my sayso. I want to know if any of the others got this email and if they saw my email address? I trust the site to keep all my identity sealed. That is one of the absolute policies of this site.
So, I will not be posting to the Help Desk again, since I do not want emails from them of that nature and I want to know if my email address was sent out? I did send a Kosmail to the Tech Desk.
One of the people in the Help Desk thread asks if DK is under attack? Is there a bug? What is going on? The DK Staff owe it to us to let us know so that we can protect ourselves, our identity and our computers.
OK, KOS and the DK TECH STAFF, the ball is in your court.
