The UK's Guardian Newspaper announced a series highlighting the issues of climate change, from the point of view of a 'clear and present danger', not pandering or giving false equivalency to climate deniers.  It is taking a global leadership role in bringing journalistic integrity to the whole issue of climate change.

The Guardian's groundbreaking journalistic stand will bring the truth to the forefront, that we do not have anymore to time to waste on these wilfull distractionists and must get about the business of cutting through the propaganda, letting people worldwide know the truth of what is really happening.  Hopefully armed with the truth and when people are not sedated by propaganda, some serious changes can be made.

Alan Rusbridger, the retiring editor, who has orchestrated this massive global 'Noah's Ark,' explains why he is doing this:

One reason for this is personal. This summer I am stepping down after 20 years of editing the Guardian. Over Christmas I tried to anticipate whether I would have any regrets once I no longer had the leadership of this extraordinary agent of reporting, argument, investigation, questioning and advocacy.

Very few regrets, I thought, except this one: that we had not done justice to this huge, overshadowing, overwhelming issue of how climate change will probably, within the lifetime of our children, cause untold havoc and stress to our species.

So, in the time left to me as editor, I thought I would try to harness the Guardian’s best resources to describe what is happening and what – if we do nothing – is almost certain to occur, a future that one distinguished scientist has termed as “incompatible with any reasonable characterisation of an organised, equitable and civilised global community”.

I encourage you to spread the word as fast as and as far and wide as you can. (Facebook, twitter, text, email, call, etc. etc., you be the creative one.) This is a hugely groundbreaking endeavor and Alan must get as much support from the world's population to know that we are hearing him and like him, we are ready to deal in reality.
